    DENVER — Wednesday, March 13, 2019 — State of Colorado government offices in Denver and surrounding suburban counties will open at 10 a.m. due to extreme weather conditions on Thursday, March 14.  There will be a two-hour delay in scheduled start times for state employees to arrive to work safely.

    State facilities essential to public health and safety will maintain regular operating schedules and “essential personnel” must report to work at their normal scheduled time.

    DENVER - Gov. Jared Polis today appointed Jaclyn K. C. Brown and Neeti Vasant Pawar to the Colorado Court of Appeals. Brown’s appointment fills a vacancy occasioned by the retirement of the Honorable Karen M. Ashby. Pawar’s appointment fills a vacancy occasioned by the resignation of the Honorable Laurie A. Booras.

    DENVER - Gov. Jared Polis today joined a bipartisan group of legislators to highlight a reinsurance bill to help lower health care costs. HB19-1168 will reduce insurance premiums for individuals and families. 

    “We must address the high cost of health care, especially in our rural and mountain communities,” Governor Jared Polis said. “We have heard from Coloradans across the state about their struggles to afford insurance. This reinsurance program is a strategy that will help provide immediate relief by lowering costs for Colorado families.”
