DENVER - Gov. Polis signed Executive Orders today taking further action to address COVID-19 in Colorado.

DENVER — This evening Governor Jared Polis addressed Coloradans directly and announced an extension to the stay-at-home Executive Order. The Executive Order will now remain in effect until April 26.

DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis today announced the appointment of Sara M. Garrido as a Jefferson County Court Judge in the First Judicial District. Her appointment is occasioned by the resignation of the Honorable Jean Woodford.

DENVER - Gov. Polis released the following statement on the passing of El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Hopkins. Deputy Hopkins passed due complications related to COVID-19 on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife Wendy. He has served in the sheriff’s office since 2001.

DENVER - The COVID-19 Special Enrollment Period for individual health insurance will be extended to run through April 30, 2020. The original period that was announced on March 19 was set to end on Friday, April 3. The Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI), part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), has worked with Connect for Health Colorado to add nearly a month more for Coloradans who are currently uninsured to get health coverage.

DENVER - Gov. Jared Polis discussed Colorado’s personal protective equipment (PPE) shortage at a news conference on Wednesday, April 1. On March 28, Governor Polis sent a letter to Vice President Mike Pence requesting additional PPE and ventilators to address the severe shortage Colorado is facing.
