Governor Primavera highlighted the Polis administration’s ongoing work to make Colorado the best place to live, work, and thrive, touting Colorado’s thriving and growing aerospace industry, high-achieving schools, and ongoing work to provide more housing for every Colorado budget.

“From our strong economy to high-achieving schools, we are continuing to ensure Colorado Springs and southern Colorado can continue to thrive. In partnership with the legislature, we are working to create more housing now and empower homeowners’ rights.  This crisis is real and it will take all of us to solve this. That is why we have broad support from a strong coalition of housing, business and labor leaders, educators, environmental organizations, housing advocates, and local government officials. I was honored to meet with local residents to hear about their housing needs as we work closely with the legislature to create more housing now and continue to act on the urgent needs we hear from Coloradans across the state,” said Gov. Polis.

While meeting with local hardworking teachers and educators, Governor Polis heard first-hand about the urgent need for housing for every Colorado budget in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area and shared the Polis administration’s work in partnership with the legislature to provide more housing now.  The Governor met with the Colorado Springs Black Chamber about the importance of ensuring there is a home for every Colorado budget and the Chamber offered an endorsement of SB23-213.

Governor Polis and Lieutenant Governor Primavera attended Space Symposium as Colorado continues to serve as the epicenter of national security space and the rightful home of Space Command. While at Space Symposium, Governor Polis announced a new addition to Colorado’s thriving aerospace industry, with Nooks expanding in Colorado Springs bringing good-paying jobs and helping to boost innovation and the adoption of new technologies in national security and defense.

“Colorado is the proud home of the aerospace ecosystem, as businesses continue to flock to Colorado bringing good-paying jobs and Space Command executes its vital mission from Colorado Springs, which is why it was great to be in Colorado Springs today to celebrate Colorado’s vibrant aerospace industry,” added Gov. Polis.
