Can we upload each policy/procedure for ea. rule # in the “upload” as a separate attachment then under each given area put "attached"?
Please help us understand why we cannot submit our PDFs to avoid additional work on copying and pasting etc.
No. Do not upload them and insert “attached” in the text box. Policies are required to be cut and pasted into the text box and each text box cannot contain more than 30,000 characters. Policies that exceed this limit will be truncated.
OBH reviews policies and procedures and determines if they address the Rule that requires them. Uploading pages of policies would require OBH to download, store, and search through the document. This takes an extensive amount of time to review. The cut and paste method is quick and easy to review and LADDERS sorts, reports, and allows us to analyze the information which, in the end, will improve the quality of services offered to clients. -
How do you know a document is attached? It does not look to be attached in the "General Policies”.
Policies will appear in the text box once they are cut and pasted. Documents that must be attached (fire, zoning, insurance) will be listed under the upload section.

My new license expires in December 2020. When can I begin entering policies and procedures into ladders? How soon?
Can the P&Ps be updated, can we update prior to renewal and have items ready for renewal?
You can begin anytime. You will need to create a renewal application, make sure the services you offer are listed, and then begin to add your P&Ps.

If a violation is identified what needs to happen next?
Violations will appear on the home page and also be listed in the Licensing or Designation Report sent following a site visit. To respond, select the violation and enter the POC then “submit”. An email will be sent to your reviewer that your POC is ready for review.

Who can we talk to or email when we have questions why we are writing the p and p s?
Providers with a license or designation should contact their OBH representative to answer questions about policies and procedures. Please see the upper left corner of your LADDERS home page for the contact information of your OBH representative.
New providers without a designation or license should send an email to CDHS_LADDERS@state.co.us. -
Do all potential participants need to be screened for criminal background? Or can anyone seek treatment- if not providing services to DUI/Criminal Justice systems?
Yes, everyone has to complete the criminal justice screening regardless of the type of service they are seeking.

We have a few different people that will be accessing LADDERS. Should each person have a separate login and password?
An agency can have multiple users with separate logins; however, it is important that these are at minimum to avoid duplication of entries. To obtain a login (username) please email CDHS_LADDERS@state.co.us with your name and contact information.
-
How do we find out who our contact person is for the site reviews?
Please see the upper left corner of your LADDERS home page for the contact information of your OBH representative. If you are applying for an initial license, you will receive an email from your reviewer once your account has been assigned. This may take several weeks.
Please contact us at CDHS_LADDERS@state.co.us with any additional questions.
