Gov. Polis appoints interim District Attorney in 11th Judicial District

DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis today announced the appointment of Kaitlin Brianne Turner of Cañon City as the interim District Attorney in the 11th Judicial District. Her appointment is occasioned by the resignation of Molly Chilson, and is effective Saturday, June 8, 2019. 

Turner has served as a Senior Attorney-Advisor for the United States Federal Bureau of Prisons since 2011. She has also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorney’s Office, District of Colorado since 2014, and as an appellate pro bono attorney since 2012. Previously, she served as the Senior Appellate Law Clerk for the Honorable Nancy J. Lichtenstein of the Colorado Court of Appeals.  She earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007.
