Gov. Polis appoints Douglas County Court Judge in Eighteenth Judicial District

DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis today announced the appointment of Kolony L. Fields as a Douglas County Court Judge in the Eighteenth Judicial District, to fill a vacancy occasioned by the appointment of the Honorable Monica Gomez to the El Paso County Court. 

Fields is a District Court Magistrate in the First Judicial District, a position she has held since 2011. Her docket consists primarily of juvenile delinquency, criminal, domestic relations, and dependency and neglect matters. Previously, she was a Public Defender in the First Judicial District (2004-2011). Fields earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1999, and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2004.

Fields’ appointment is effective immediately.
