Gov. Polis appoints District Court Judge in 19th Judicial District

DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis today announced the appointment of Meghan Patrice Saleebey as a District Court Judge in the 19th Judicial District to fill a vacancy occasioned by the resignation of the Honorable Ryan Kamada. 

Saleebey serves as a District Court Magistrate in the 19th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2018. Her docket consists primarily of juvenile delinquency and truancy matters. Previously, she was a Senior Deputy District Attorney assigned to the Juvenile Division of the Denver District Attorney’s Office (2009-2018); Staff Attorney for the Colorado Crime Victims’ Legal Clinic (2008); and Victim Rights Act Specialist in the Office for Victims Programs (2004-2009). Saleebey earned her B.F.A. from Southern Methodist University in 1991, and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007.

Saleebey’s appointment is effective immediately.
