Gov. Polis announces new district court judge in 2nd Judicial District

DENVER - Gov. Jared Polis today appointed Eric M. Johnson as a district court judge in the 2nd Judicial District. Johnson’s appointment fills a vacancy occasioned by the retirement of the Honorable Catherine A. Lemon. 

Johnson is a Partner and Founding Member at Johnson Knudson Law LLC, a position he has held since 2015.  His practice consists of immigration matters, criminal defense, family law, and appeals. Previously, he was the founder of Eric Johnson Law (2013-2015), and a Deputy District Attorney in the 1st Judicial District (2006-2013) and in the 17th Judicial District (1999-2006). Johnson earned his B.S. from Florida State University in 1994 and his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in 1998.  

Johnson’s appointment is effective immediately.
