DENVER - Today, Governor Polis cheered on and celebrated the many Coloradans who are competing at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
“Congratulations to all the Coloradans competing in the Winter Olympics! Colorado is the best state in the U.S. for any athlete to train, and especially winter athletes, so it's no surprise that so many on team USA are from Colorado. I wish all our hometown athletes the best of luck and will be cheering them on along with their friends, family, and my fellow Coloradans. Bring home the gold!” said Governor Polis.
Colorado has 32 athletes competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics, more than any other state. There are also a number of athletes competing who have other connections to Colorado.
