DENVER — Governor Jared Polis will receive the prestigious Community Enrichment Award at the Mizel Institute Annual Event on June 1, 2023.

“Governor Jared Polis has skillfully navigated Colorado through the challenges of the past few years,” said Larry A. Mizel, founder of the Mizel Institute. “His commitment to bettering the lives of all Coloradans is truly remarkable, and we are privileged to honor his enduring impact across our great state.”

Governor Polis joins Joe Ellis & the Denver Broncos, Walter and Christie Isenberg, U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper, Governor William and First Lady Frances Owens, University of Denver Chancellor Emeritus Daniel Ritchie, Colorado Rockies owner Richard L. Monfort, former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway, Pat Bowlen and Peter H. Coors, among others, as recipients of the state’s most noteworthy philanthropic award.

The Community Enrichment Award is presented annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the community and worked to significantly enhance the lives of others.

Gov. Polis has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and dedication to deliver on important priorities for Coloradans. He has leveraged his entrepreneurial spirit and business experience to steer Colorado towards becoming one of the most family-friendly states while topping the list of strongest state economies in the country. Gov. Polis has also been a strong supporter of the Mizel Museum and the CELL. For these reasons, the Mizel Institute could not be more delighted to honor him and all that he has accomplished for Colorado.

One of the largest community fundraisers in Colorado, the Mizel Institute Annual Event draws guests in the thousands, representing a wide array of community leaders in government, business, education, and philanthropy. Funds raised from the event support its two centers, the Mizel Museum and the CELL, whose valuable programs empower individuals to become civically engaged in promoting social justice and enhancing public safety.
