“I was honored to join President Biden, President Obama and other leaders today, as the President signed an Executive Order on strengthening access to the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. As the Director of the Office of Saving People Money on Healthcare, I have the privilege of leading our administration’s efforts to ensure that every Coloradan has access to high-quality, affordable, equitable health care. Governor Polis and I have traveled all across the state, hearing from Coloradans about the impacts that health care costs have had on their lives, and how those rising costs remain a primary concern,” said Lt. Governor Primavera. “We successfully lowered insurance premiums for consumers around the state, targeted skyrocketing prescription drug costs, and expanded access to mental and behavioral health care. I look forward to continued work with our federal partners to ensure that no Coloradan, ever goes without the health care they deserve simply because they can’t afford it.”

The Polis-Primavera Administration remains committed to exploring new and innovative approaches to meet the diverse health care needs of all Coloradans. The Office of Saving People Money has delivered real results for Coloradans including health insurance savings through the bipartisan reinsurance program, greater transparency and savings for prescription drugs,  increased hospital transparency and capping the price of insulin.
