Governor Polis Statement on Build Back Better Framework

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis released a statement on the announcement from President Biden that an agreement has been reached regarding the Build Back Better Framework:

“Over this last year, we partnered with Colorado state lawmakers to make historic bipartisan investments to jumpstart our economy, save Coloradans money, and support our state for generations to come. I’m thrilled to see the federal government taking steps to make similar investments nationwide that I have long advocated for, including free universal preschool for three and four year olds, expanding access to child care, increasing clean energy technology, and saving consumers money on energy costs with clean energy. I applaud President Biden and his administration for their leadership. This framework, coupled with our state investments including our bipartisan state infrastructure package, will help move Colorado, and our entire country, forward on critical issues like climate, lowering health care costs, expanding early childhood education, and so much more. I look forward to working with our federal partners as we work to recover faster and stronger.”
