DENVER — Today, Governor Jared Polis visited several businesses in the Fort Collins area and threw the first pitch at the Fort Collins Foxes Baseball Club’s opening game.

“What a great way to spend a sunny Colorado day by seeing some of the Fort Collins businesses that play a part in powering Colorado’s comeback,” said Governor Polis. “From touring a manufacturing hub that builds parts for the world’s best-known brands to tasting some of the best in class beer in the country, Fort Collins has so much to offer. And what an honor to throw the first pitch for the Foxes Baseball Club, thank you, Fort Collins.”

Governor Polis started his day at Woodward Inc., a designer, manufacturer, and service provider of energy control and optimization solutions, such as engine control and fuel pumps, for aerospace and industrial markets. At Woodward, Governor Polis met with workers and toured the company’s Fort Collins headquarters.

Next, Governor Polis stopped by Odell Brewing Co, an independent craft brewery,  where he toured the brewery’s facilities, met with staff and tasted some of Odell’s award-winning brews.

Governor Polis capped off his day by throwing the first pitch on opening day for the Fort Collins Foxes Baseball Game.
