Colorado Disability Funding Committee to Launch National Western Stock Show-Themed License Plate Auction
DENVER - The Colorado Disability Funding Committee is thrilled to partner with the Western Stock Show Association and Colorado Auctioneers Foundation to auction the rights to use 10 unique Colorado license plate configurations. Proceeds from the auction will fund grants for new and innovative ideas that improve the quality of life and independence of people with disabilities, and contribute to the National Western Stock Show Scholarship Trust.
“Colorado has a proud agricultural heritage. It’s part of my own family history and continues to shape our state today,” said Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera. “We are excited to bring unique Colorado license plate configurations to the Stock Show this year to give more people an opportunity to wrangle a plate they love while supporting grant opportunities for organizations that serve Coloradans with disabilities.”
There are 10 great western themed license plate configurations, see images, in this sale: PRCA, STETSON, BRONC, BISON, BEEFUSA, FARMGRL, SHWCOWS, 8SECNDS, N2ROPIN, and WLDWEST. Auction winners receive the exclusive right to use the configuration on their vehicle registered in Colorado. The auction will take place at the National Western Beef Palace Auction Arena at 3:00PM MST on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
The Committee holds frequent auctions for the rights to unique Colorado license plate configurations at coloradoplates.org and offers grant opportunities, including a currently open $500,000 grant round, at disabilityfundingcommittee.
