Governor Polis Celebrates Brigadier General Laura Clellan’s Promotion to the Rank of Major General

DENVER- Today, Governor Polis celebrated Brigadier General Laura Clellan’s Promotion to the Rank of Major General and highlighted her dedication to serving her state and country. 

"Over the last three years, Brigadier General Laura Clellan has continuously embodied the highest ideals of the Colorado National Guard and provided steady leadership through unprecedented challenges. In addition to this, under General Clellan’s leadership, resources for the men and women of the Colorado National Guard, DMVA, and their families have been expanded to ensure that those who serve get helpful  resources when they need them,” said Governor Polis. “On behalf of all Coloradans, thank you, General Clellan, for all you do for our state, and congratulations on this well-deserved promotion.”  

Brigadier General Laura Clellan was appointed Adjutant General and Executive Director of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs by Governor Polis in June 2020.
