    Colorado Energy Office Launches Tax Incentive for Geothermal Electricity Development and Production

    STATEWIDE - The Colorado Energy Office opened its first competitive application cycle for the state’s Geothermal Electricity Tax Credit Offering (GETCO) today. Following Governor Polis’ Heat Beneath Our Feet initiative as chair of the Western Governors Association to explore opportunities to deploy geothermal technology in the region, Colorado is continuing its global leadership in geothermal development by launching one of the nation’s first state tax incentives for geothermal electricity investment and production. Geothermal energy has seen significant developments in the past several years, offering the potential to unlock reliable, affordable, and clean energy across Colorado.

    Governor Polis, Colorado Energy Office Launch Nation’s First Electric Bicycle Tax Credit

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis and the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) celebrated the launch of the nation's first statewide electric bicycle tax credit. Colorado residents are now eligible to save up to $450 off their e-bike purchase, meaning less traffic and less pollution for Coloradans. The e-bike tax credit reflects Colorado's bold climate goals while promoting sustainable communities for future generations

    Governor Polis Announces New Line of Colorado-Themed Shoes

    DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis announced a new Colorado-themed shoe line. The Colorado-themed footwear line will highlight our beautiful state while promoting Colorado in a unique and fashionable way. The announcement of the shoe line merges Governor Polis's blue-themed shoe apparel worn during his 2018 run for Governor and fan-favorite Colorado-themed shoes he now often wears.

    Governor Polis Celebrates Success Of Colorado Preschool Program in Eagle County

    EAGLE COUNTY - Today, Governor Polis, joined by Colorado Department of Early Childhood Executive Director Lisa Roy, visited two preschools in Eagle County to celebrate the success of Colorado's Universal Preschool program (UPK) and highlight the open enrollment period for next fall that families can sign up at upk.Colorado.gov. Preschool is serving nearly 40,000 students across Colorado in its first year, propelling Colorado from 26th in preschool access to 8th.

    CWCB Launches 2024 Program to Transform Colorado’s Turf Landscape

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis and the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) announced the launch of the second year of Transformative Landscape Change (TLC) Challenge program, which challenges local communities to reimagine their public spaces and embrace waterwise landscaping. The effort, a partnership with the nonprofit Resource Central, is designed to convert water-intensive landscapes into climate-appropriate, low-water-use, and attractive spaces.
