Visitor Center Transit Facility Parking Structure construction begins Oct. 17, 2016
South parking lot at the Visitor Center closed until summer 2017
Construction of the four-story Estes Park Transit Facility Parking Structure is expected to begin Monday, Oct. 17 at the Estes Park Visitor Center parking lot south of the Big Thompson River. The Town and its construction manager/general contractor, Heath Construction, expect the project to be complete by July 2017, with the facility opening as soon as possible for summer use. The structure will increase parking availability for downtown Estes Park and reduce emissions by allowing more people to park vehicles and quickly access the shuttle systems available at the Visitor Center. Regular project updates will be available at www.estes.org/transitfacilityparkingstructure.
During the closure, please park in the north parking lot at the Estes Park Visitor Center via Hwy 34/Big Thompson Ave. to access shuttle services.
The Estes Park Visitor Center (500 Big Thompson Ave.) acts as the transportation hub for the free shuttles in the summer and throughout the year. See the schedules above for service days and times at this location.
The Events Complex Park-n-Ride at Stanley Park (1209 Manford Ave.) offers hundreds of parking spaces and shuttle service (via the Silver and Green Routes in the summer and select special events) to the transportation hub at the Estes Park Visitor Center and Bond Park in downtown Estes Park. See the schedules above for service days and times at this location.
The Town of Estes Park is exploring the opportunity to apply for a 2018-2019 Federal Transportation Administration grant to expand shuttles services into the remainder of the calendar year.
