The Community Development Department provides planning, zoning, code compliance and building services to the community. These services are intended to guide development within the community to ensure safety, prosperity and the protection of our natural resources.
Planning services are provided within the entire Estes Valley, using the Estes Valley Development Code as the governing document. Building services are provided within Town limits, governed by the 2015 IBC plus local amendments.
Our goal is to provide excellent customer service in a timely manner. Please do not hesitate to call or email us if you have ideas for improvement or additional guide topics. We welcome the opportunity to serve you.
Effective May 1, 2017, Planning Staff will have hours for walk-in customers needing to meet with a Planner. This will allow our small staff to dedicate ample time to customer projects, so that we may maintain a high standard of customer service.
