Micro-Grant Program

The SIPA Micro-Grant program is designed for state and local governments, special districts k-12 and public universities in Colorado to put more citizen-facing information and services online.

Since 2010, more than 145 grants and over $713,000 have been awarded to governments across the State.

Micro-Grant funding are for projects that support SIPA's mission of providing innovative citizen access

 through online and mobile technologies like the City of Arvada's cityDocs partially funded through SIPA's 2016 micro-grant program. In 2017, special consideration will be given to transparency projects. Grant funds range from $1,000-$6,500. Please see additional eligibility requirements and FAQs here.

 

Micro-grants are not intended for laptops, tablets, scanners, other hardware products, operational maintenance, back office solutions, GIS database development or any solutions SIPA offers in its current portfolio

 

Broadband Micro-Grants: In partnership with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), SIPA will award three DOLA broadband micro-grants. Please contact your DOLA regional manager to learn more and apply (you do not need to complete SIPA's "apply for a grant" application to be considered).

2017 Micro-Grant Tentative Timeline of Events

December 1, 2017: Grant applications open

January 19, 2018: Grant applications due by 5pm MST

January 20 - March 2, 2018: SIPA review period

March 5 - 9, 2018: SIPA will announce the 2017 grant awardees

April 24, 2018: Awards are given at the annual SIPA User Conference and Grant Ceremony
