The City of Walsenburg is actively participating in emergency response planning for potential flash flood hazards arising from the impact of the burn scar. This includes City representatives attending the Swift Water Awareness training provided by the City of Pueblo Fire Department on November 17, 2018 and a stakeholders meeting with the US Army Corps of Engineers on November 19, 2018.  The City of Walsenburg is determined to safeguard and protect your safety in coordination with Huerfano County Emergency Management.
