Project Update October 2017 – Interceptor Relocation Project

On September 29 – after a very active and productive summer – the design consultant for the District’s Interceptor Relocation Project met a major project milestone by submitting the Site Application to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). The Site Application consists of an Engineering Report and review comments from impacted municipalities. Earlier in September the Environmental Assessment was also submitted to CDPHE. Both of those documents are subject to review by CDPHE staff and we expect to receive comments after the 60-day review period closes.

A reminder that the upcoming election on November 7 will include a ballot question (Issue 4A) regarding how to fund the Interceptor Relocation Project. All registered voters within the District’s service boundaries are encouraged to read the mailed TABOR notice. Information on the District’s ballot question begins on page 19 of the Arapahoe County Election Notice. For voters within the City & County of Denver, the District’s Election Notice will be mailed directly to you.

The District continues to move forward with this project and is committed to maintaining communication with other stakeholder groups such as the cities of Sheridan and Englewood. We are also working actively with CDPHE, Tri-County Health Department and CDOT.
