Irrigation Restrictions Policy: Level 1

Schedule and Restrictions:

No irrigation restrictions October 1 thru April 30 every year.


Irrigation Restrictions Policy : Level 2 

Schedule and Restrictions:

Irrigation restrictions shall go into effect May 1 and continue thru September 30 every year.

For odd numbered addresses - Irrigation is allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

For even Numbered addresses - Irrigation is allowed on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

NO IRRIGATION ON SUNDAY

Irrigation times are between midnight and 9 am, and between 6 pm and midnight on assigned days. Hand watering of dry spots, flowers and gardens is permissible any day between 6 pm and 9 am. For new plants hand watering on any single day at any time permissible. Portable lawn sprinkling devices left on for any period of time are not defined as hand watering, and are limited to the even and odd address restrictions.

The District does issue sod permits to customers with new sod or landscaping. A sod permit is valid for two weeks and allows water Monday thru Saturday, no watering on Sundays. Upon the expiration of the sod permit customers are required to follow the regular irrigation restriction schedule. If you have new sod or landscaping and wish to get a sod permit please call the Triview Metropolitan District office at (719)488-6868.

Enforcement:

The following regulations define the order of the violation letters and possible penalties for noncompliance with the irrigation restrictions program.

  • First violation will incur a warning letter.
  • Second violation will incur a warning letter and notification of a fine to be assessed if violations continue.
  • Third violation incurs a $50.00 penalty.
  • Forth violation incurs a $100.00 penalty.
  • Five or more violations incur a penalty of $200.00 per violation.

Letters for noncompliance will be mailed to the address where the current water and sewer bill is mailed. Confirmation of receipt of notice will be made before assessing the next fine. Penalties will not be carried over from year to year. Each fine occurs within each level notice and not carried over between restriction levels. Penalties assessed for noncompliance with Triview Metropolitan District's irrigation restrictions program will be assessed to the violator's next water and sewer bill. Nonpayment of the penalty shall be treated as if there is a nonpayment of the water and sewer bill, and the District's policies and procedures for nonpayment of a water and sewer bill will be followed. Appeals will be heard by the Board of Directors upon written request.


Emergency Irrigation Restrictions Policy: Level 3

Emergency irrigation restrictions shall go into effect immediately until further notice.

Zone A - Promontory Pointe: Monday and Thursday               

Zone B - East of Leather Chaps: Tuesday and Friday

Zone C - West of Leather Chaps: Wednesday and Saturday

NO IRRIGATION ON SUNDAY

Irrigation times are between 9:00 pm and 2:00 am for residential watering and 2:00 am to 6:00 am for commercial and public watering. Hand watering or use of a drip system for dry spots, flowers, and gardens is permissible any day between 6:00 pm and 9:00 am. For new plants hand watering on any single day at any time is permissible. Portable lawn sprinkling devices are not defined as hand watering and are limited to the watering restrictions.
