General Municipal Election for Town of Rangely Mayor and Council members will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Election's are held every other year on the first Tuesday in April. Offices that will be voted on during each election are:
Each position shall be voted upon by the entire electorate of the Town. The person receiving the greatest number of votes for the Mayor, 2-year term shall be elected. The first three people receiving the greatest number of votes for the Council member 4-year terms shall be elected.
Every person who has attained the age of 18 years possessing the following qualifications is entitled to register to vote at all municipal elections:
A) He/she is a citizen of the United States
B) He/she resided in the State of Colorado for thirty days prior to the municipal election at which he offers to vote.
Ballots will be mailed to electors unless you fill out an absentee ballot request application. Your absentee application must be returned to the town clerk’s office no later than 5:00pm on March 30, 2018. You can download absentee ballot applications below or come into the Town of Rangely offices at 209 E Main.
Voting Time and Location:
The mail ballot drop box will be open 24 hours a day at the Town of Rangely Muncipal Building, 209 E Main starting on March 19, 2018 up until 7:00 pm on April 3, 2018. Ballots can be mailed but must be recieved by April 3, 2018 in order to be counted.
