Emergency Test on Web

The Alamosa Regional Communications Center (ARCC) is conducting a TEST of our Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system on June 6th between 11am – 12pm. This test includes all six counties of the San Luis Valley. During this time, WEA compatible cell phones that are switched on, within range of an active cell tower, and whose wireless provider participates in WEA should be capable of receiving the test message. Your mobile phone will buzz loudly. This is only a TEST. No action is needed.

The San Luis Valley uses two Alert and Warning Systems:

#1. EverBridge. You MUST register to receive EverBridge alerts. Sign up at: slve911.org -or- Call (719) 480-8469

#2. Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) is the same system used to send AMBER alerts. You MUST ENABLE "Emergency Alerts" in your cell phone's settings to receive these alerts.

NOW: Sign up with EverBridge -AND- enable Emergency Alerts on your cell phone to receive BOTH types of alerts and warning issued within the San Luis Valley.
