Would you like to learn more about the benefits and challenges of standing up a UAS program in your public safety agency? You’re in luck! The CoE is hosting a Summit on Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Public Safety on March 15-16, 2017 at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort in Nathrop, CO.
Through its many programs, the Fire & Life Safety Section utilizes codes and standards developed by a number of national organizations. In most cases, these codes are adopted as printed. However, the Division has amended some codes in order to meet Colorado-specific concerns. In general, we believe it is better to influence the direction of national codes—as they are widely adopted consensus documents—rather than develop amendments which only apply within the State.
