Mineral County BOCC Public Hearing

The Mineral County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 to consider a recommendation from the Mineral County Planning and Zoning Commission to approved revisions made to the Mineral County Zoning Regulations.  The hearing will begin at 5:30 pm at the Mineral County Courthouse, 1201 N Main, Creede, CO.  The draft revised Zoning Regulations can be found by clicking here.

Have you ever wondered if your continuity plans are sufficient?  These two FEMA courses will teach you about facility and data planning, devolution and how to build teams of succession.   These sophicated courses are extremely detailed and provide great information.  Although they are more government focused, they can easily translate into business continuity in the private sector.

Roadway Safety

Longer and warmer days make summer a good time for roadwork to begin. It also puts more drivers on the road. This can be a dangerous combination. Between 1982 and 2014, work zone crashes killed 24,745 people according to the Federal Highway Administration. There are precautions that both road workers and drivers can take to ensure that everyone on the road has a safe summer.

Election Offenses:  

C.R.S. 1-13-106 Forgery- Any person who falsely makes, alters, forges, or counterfeits any ballot before or after it has been cast, or who forges any name of a person as a signer or witness to a petition or nomination paper, or who forges any letter of acceptance, declination, or withdrawal, or who forges the name of a registered elector to a voter’s mail-in or mail ballot commits forgery which is a class five 5 felony.
