Safety Fair


The Safety Fair is a fun, family event sponsored by the Estes Park Police Department that enables attendees to learn about the services provided by public safety agencies.
On May 19, 2018 regional public safety agencies converged in Estes Park, bringing equipment and apparatus ranging from armored vehicles to a bomb robot, flying drones and more.  Local businesses generously donated door prizes, including movie tickets, bowling passes, free registrations for youth recreational programming and bikes that youth could enter to win. Estes Park Police Officers served free hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks and beverages donated by local businesses Police Chief Wes Kufeld stated "The Safety Fair has been a collaborative effort over the years to provide education to our citizens about the many services available in the Estes Valley. We are thankful to all of the volunteers, contributors and partnering agencies who make this event happen."
Contributing businesses and organizations for the 2018 Safety Fair included Chipper's Lanes, Estes Park Event Complex, Estes Park Recreation and Park District, Estes Park Rent All, Ice Man, El Mex-Kal, McDonalds, Poppy's Pizza & Grill, Reel Mountain Theater, Safeway, Salud Family Health Centers, and Walmart North Loveland Store #1008. Participating agencies included Estes Park Police Department, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Colorado State Patrol, Colorado State University Police Department, Estes Park Emergency Medical Services, Estes Park Gun & Archery Club, Estes Park Police Auxiliary, Estes Park Watershed Coalition, Estes Valley Fire Protection District, Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership, Larimer County Office of Emergency Management, Larimer County Search and Rescue, Larimer County Sheriffs Office, Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority, Red Cross, Rocky Mountain National Park, Salud Family Health Center, Town of Estes Park Light & Power Division.

The Safety Fair is presented by the Estes Park Police Department in conjunction with other state, county and government agencies, and is held in the spring of each year. The goal of this event is to create a fun and active learning environment to educate the youth of Northern Colorado on the topics of alcohol and drug awareness, bicycle safety, fire safety, career opportunities and emergency services technology.
