Safety Fair

The 2018 Safety Fair is scheduled for Saturday, May 19th at the Estes Park Events Complex

Kids and adults were invited to the 2017 Estes Park Public Safety Fair Saturday on May 6, sponsored by the Estes Park Police Department. This fun, family event took place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Estes Park Events Complex, at 1125 Rooftop Way. Estes Park Police Officers served free hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks and beverages donated by local businesses, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For the 2017 Safety Fair, more than 20 regional public safety agencies converged on Estes Park, bringing equipment and apparatus ranging from a bomb robot to medical evacuation helicopters, dive rescue apparatus and more.  Agencies included the Estes Valley Fire Protection District, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Rocky Mountain National Park and Larimer County Sheriff.
Local businesses generously donated door prizes, including movie tickets and bowling games. Children could register to win one of four bikes that were given away at 1 p.m.
Police Chief Wes Kufeld stated "The Safety Fair has been a collaborative effort over the years to provide education to our citizens about the many services available in the Estes Valley. We are thankful to all of the volunteers, contributors and partnering agencies who make this event happen." Donations were provided by Chicago's Best, Walmart North Loveland Store #1008, Reel Mountain Theater, Chippers Lanes, Estes Park Rent All, Ice Man, Poppy's Pizza and Grill, Safeway, El Mex-Kal Family Mexican and McDonald's.

The Safety Fair is presented by the Estes Park Police Department in conjunction with other state, county and government agencies, and is held in the spring of each year. The goal of this event is to create a fun and active learning environment to educate the youth of Northern Colorado on the topics of alcohol and drug awareness, bicycle safety, fire safety, career opportunities and emergency services technology.
