Facilities

The Facilities Division acts as property manager to all publicly owned buildings and property. General government facilities that fall under the responsibilities of the Facilities Manager include:

•    Conference Center
•    Event Center Complex
•    Fairgrounds/Rodeo Grounds
•    Estes Park Area Historical Museum
•    Senior Center
•    Visitors Center
•    Public Restrooms
•    Public Works & Utilities Service Buildings

The Facilities Manager responds to internal and external requests for maintenance and completes these tasks when appropriate and, when necessary, engages contractors to complete more complex projects. Facilities maintains all documents for contracted services and generates contracts fo rannual maintenance agreements. The Facilities Manager oversees the efficient operation of all systems related to proper building function. In addition to building maintenance, Facilities also oversee contract services related to janiorial services, downtown trash and recycling, and required preventative maintenance. Facilities Manager, Jon Landkamer, has been a full-time Estes Valley resident since 1986. He recently came to the Town of Estes Park, from the Estes Park Center, YMCA of the Rockies. Jon's career has been focused on facility management, and he led the maintenance team at the YMCA for 23 of his almost 30 years there. This broad base of experience will help Jon to develop the Facilities Division of the Town, and ensure quality services to the residents and visitors of Estes Park. Jon has been an active volunteer member of the Estes Valley Fire Protection District since 1991, and currently holds the rank of Assistant Chief and Dive Rescue Team Director.
