The Utilities Department is made up of three Divisions: Power & Communication, Water, and Information Technology.

Utilities Divisions

Power & Communication: Estes Park Power & Communication Division has provided the Estes Valley with quality electrical service since 1945. Today the utility serves approximately 11,000 customers covering an area of 350 square miles and services roughly 3,000 miles of electrical lines.
Light & Power also manages the Meter shop, which is responsible for monthly readings of both electric and water meters for residents and local businesses.

Water: The Town of Estes Park Water Division serves approximately 5,000 customers and services more than 110 miles of water main lines, two water treatment plants and nine water tanks. The Water Division also manages long-term water rights planning, fire hydrant maintenance, water quality testing, and backflow regulation.

Information Technology: The Town of Estes Park Information Technology Division primarily provides internal services for the Town and supports connectivity to emergency service providers. The scope of services ranges from installation, support and replacement of computers, printers, copiers, multifunction devices, servers, phone systems, audio-visual equipment, Public WiFi, to software licensing, database management, network connectivity, and security.
