Hometown Revitalization Committee Seeking Board Members

The Town of Eaton is now accepting letters of interest for open seats on the Hometown Revitalization Committee. The Hometown Revitalization Committee was created by resolution to provide assistance and recommendations regarding development and redevelopment of commercial areas. The Committee’s responsibility is to advise on matters related to revitalizing commercial areas in town like improving existing commercial areas, attracting new commercial and retail opportunities, making physical improvements to commercial areas, marketing, promoting community events, recommending financial policies or capital expenditures to support revitalization, and medium and long term planning. The Hometown Revitalization Committee consists of seven members: two members shall be Board Trustees and five shall be residents of the Town, own property in the Town or be an owner/manager of a business in Town.

The appointments are to fill the four remaining positions on the board. Two of these members shall serve two (2) year terms and two of these members shall serve four (4) year terms. Letters of interest explaining your qualifications and intent should be addressed to the Hometown Revitalization Committee, Attn: Jeff Schreier, Assistant Town Administrator, and may either be sent to Eaton Town Hall, 223 First Street, Eaton, CO 80615, or via email at Jeff@eatonco.org.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, September 14, 2018 at 5:00PM and appointments for the vacant seat will be made by the Committee Chair and Town Board at the September 20th Town Board Meeting.
