The Town of Collbran is seeking an experienced accountant, bookkeeper, or financial manager to oversee the financial management work of the Town. The position could be part-time or full-time. The Town seeks a candidate that is passionate about small towns and their unique needs. Fund accounting and familiarity with Casselle is desired. Pay will be dependant on qualifications and experience.
The Position oversees and performs a variety of professional fiscal policy, accounting, budgeting and public financial management assignments. Work includes maintaining general ledgers for various City funds; assisting the Town Administrator in preparing and submitting the annual budget; developing and implementing fiscal and financial policies, procedures; preparing and interpreting numerous accounting and financial reports and statements; designing, modifying, and implementing automated and manual accounting systems; working with the Town’s auditor, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll is administered as required..
The Town of Collbran is a small community located at the base of Grand Mesa in Mesa County, and is known as one of the “last old cow towns”. Vega Reservoir, Grand Mesa, Powderhorn Ski area, and the Colorado River are the backyard of Collbran. Weekend rodeos, roping events, and cattle drives are not uncommon in this western town.

The Town of Collbran is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Marshal.
The following education and/or experience is the minimum standard which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position:
- High School Diploma or GED certification; PLUS two (2) years of experience in a law enforcement field, or active duty military police experience preferred.
- Must be Colorado P.O.S.T certified or certifiable at time of application.
- Must also possess a valid Colorado driver’s license or be able to obtain a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
Candidates being considered must not have used illegal drugs, or marijuana within the past five (5) years. Must be able to pass a drug test.
Must be able to pass a criminal, credit, and physiological background check
The incumbent must commit to the possibility of working any shift within a 24 hour period, any day of the week, as needed. Shift hours vary according to assignment; must be willing to work a rotating schedule.
