Freeze Watch: Thursday May 9, 2019
A Freeze Watch will go into effect Thursday May 9, 2019 at 9 p.m. until Friday May 10, 2019 at 9 a.m. Temperatures will dip down to the low 30’s.
A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
As a cold storm system moves out of the state Thursday, rain and snow shower activity will decrease in the evening with partial clearing skies. There may be enough clearing over far northeast plains for freezing temperatures. Further West towards the Interstate 25 corridor, considerable cloud cover may keep temperatures warmer. Sensitive vegetation may be susceptible to the cold temperatures Thursday night.
