Economic Development Coordinator
SUMMARY: Incumbents provide professional level management support to the Department Director through economic development and redevelopment planning, marketing and research work in implementing the Town's Economic Development Strategic Plan. General responsibilities include coordinating and implementing projects and programs that support commercial, office and industrial development; business attraction; business retention; development of public facilities and infrastructure; small business development initiatives; and other economic development, redevelopment or capital improvement programs or projects. Develops marketing strategies with members of the business community to promote programs, services, and assistance available to new and existing businesses. This employee also creates and maintains information resources and databases and prepares reports and analysis. The Economic Development Coordinator is also responsible for supporting relationships between the Town of Bennett and local businesses, residents, and a variety of community organizations.
Administrative Assistant I
SUMMARY: Under minimum supervision, performs the tasks of scheduling appointments, gives information to callers, takes notes, and otherwise relieves officials of clerical work. Position relieves the Town Administrator and other management staff of administrative tasks. Compiles special reports, non-routine correspondence, serves as purchasing officer, and involves special project work.
