4th of July 2019 Safety Reminders

We’re looking forward to the Fourth of July holiday week, and as residents are preparing to celebrate, the Town wanted to provide some safety reminders for firework activity in the area.

In Colorado, all fireworks that leave the ground are illegal. These include roman candles and bottle rockets. If you are caught setting off illegal fireworks you could be subject to a fine by the Adams or Arapahoe County Sheriff’s office.

Fireworks that are non-explosive and stay on the ground are legal. These include sparklers or ground spinners.

The Town of Bennett, along with the Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue and the Adams and Arapahoe County Sherriff’s office is urging residents to consider professional fireworks shows.
