Please attend this Engage. Shape. Build. Session to learn about and collaborate on ways to support older adults in Bennett.
Since the fall of 2017, Bennett Town staff, residents and staff from the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) have been working together to determine how the Town can support older adults in Bennett.
Using DRCOG's Boomer Bond assessment tool - a nationally recognized process to asses how communities support older adults who wish to stay in their homes safely and independently - we discussed housing, support services, transportation and opportunities for older adults to remain engaged in community life in Bennett.
These meetings helped shape a set of programs, policies, and initiatives for the Town to think about as they elevate age-friendliness in Bennett.
Join us to learn more about the assessment tool, our findings, and suggestions and help us identify the issues and potential solutions you believe will have the greatest impact.
Other groups that will be providing resources will be Via Mobility, Adams County Aging Network, Arapahoe County Weatherization Program and the Bennett Park and Recreation Center.
