Parks Maintenance Technician 1
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, is responsible for acquiring and performing various skill associated with accepted maintenance practices for one or more of the following areas: Operates light or heavy equipment and performs routine, semi‐skilled to skilled work in the maintenance and construction of athletic fields/courts, trails, natural open space areas, turf management, and landscape maintenance. Incumbents assigned to this class are expected to perform the full range of work assigned to this class and to work with significant independence and initiative, and under direct supervision of a the Parks and Grounds Supervisor.
Public Works Utilities Supervisor
SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates activities of the water facilities and equipment maintenance along with water testing and utility repair by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees. Provides professional and technical staff assistance. Supervises and directs assigned maintenance and custodial staff for coordination of meter replacement program. Typically requires experience involving repair and maintenance of complex structured facilities, including supervising general construction work. Knowledge of SCADA, GIS and involvement with Hydrant replacement program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: under general
direction, plans, coordinates, supervises and evaluates the activities involved in the operation, maintenance and repair of the water distribution systems, street maintenance, traffic control devices, storm drainage systems. Operates light or heavy equipment and performs routine, skilled to heavily skilled work in the maintenance and construction of streets, water, sewer and storm drainage systems, traffic control signage and striping. Incumbents assigned to this class/description are expected to perform the full range of work assigned to this class and to work with significant independence and initiative, and under direct supervision of the Public Works Director. May attend Town Board meetings to present budgets, activity reports, and plans for future activities in place of the Public Works Director.
