Through Adams County Open Space funds the Town obtained a grant to develop our new Civic Center Park. At the heart of this park proudly stands the Corridor of Honor Military Memorial. The Town partnered with the Corridor of Honor Committee to establish the Corridor of Honor Military Memorial.

As we gathered together to commemorate this recent Memorial Day, we worked with the committee to plan the dedication of the new memorial. It is a place where friends and family who reside along the I-70 corridor and throughout the region can reflect on both Veterans’ and current military members service and sacrifice. It is a monument to all our service members, past, present and for generations to come.

The program from the Corridor of Honor Military Memorial is available for download.

This beautiful garden is a major component of Civic Center Park. It will draw visitors from all around the surrounding regions, as it pays respect to members of the armed forces who serve our country in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.

Along the promenade that is nestled between rows of ornamental flowering trees, visitors will find seating for rest and reflection. The garden will consist of a level surface that is anchored on each end with flagpole monuments. Along the central axis will be a large memorial wall and a tribute focal art piece dedicated by the Veterans Committee of the I-70 corridor. The centralized star plaza will pay tribute to the individual branches of the military, and offer elements for donors to pay tribute and respect to the commitment and patriotism of members of the armed forces.
