The Bennett Arts Council was created in 2018. Its members include the Town of Bennett, the Bennett Park and Recreation District, the Bennett School District, Morgan Community College, the Bennett Community Market, Communities that Care and artist Jamie Zerr-Lockwood.
The Bennett Arts Council’s mission is to promote, connect, and empower arts and culture for all ages throughout the Town and Eastern I-70 corridor. It values sustainability, collaboration, innovation and the transformative power of the arts.

Spring Break Movie Night
The Bennett Arts Council is hosting a free movie night to kick off Spring Break! Join us to watch Ralph Breaks the Internet and have free popcorn and snacks. Movie night will be March 22 at 6 p.m. at the Bennett Community Center.
First Annual I-70 Corridor Art Show and Auction
Join the Bennett Arts Council for the First Annual I-70 Corridor Art Show and Mural Wall Auction. Proceeds from the mural wall auction will go to maintaining the Teens Living Clean mural wall. Interested artists should fill out a submission form and send it to Special Projects Coordinator Taeler Houlberg at email@example.com.
The Bennett Arts Council will be aucitoning off the mural wall that was put up for Bennett Days in 2018. The 8' x 4' pieces were painted by Denver artist, Chad Bolsinger. The proceeds from this auction will go to maintaining the Teens Living Clean mural wall.
Art Show Requirements:
Artists can submit up to 10 pieces of art for I-70 Corridor Art Show. All art formats are accepted so long as the work is non-controversial or "family friendly."
Formats include, but are not limited to, 2D art (Water color, oils, acrylic, pastel, graphite, photography, digital, alcohol and ink, multimedia and ink), 3D art, ﬁber art, sculpture, glass, jewelry, and metal work. Jewelry submissions must be handmade and the original work of the artist.
2D Pieces must be ready to hang with wire only, no saw tooth hangers. Artwork must be complete with no exposed canvas or bare edges. Tables will be provided for non-hanging formats. 3D sculptures cannot exceed ten feet.
Setup for the art show will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on April 13th, 2019. Take down for the art show will begin directly following the show and must be completed by 10:00 pm on April 13th, 2019.
All artist must provide their own labels including price if they wish to sell their work. Artists wishing to sell their pieces must provide their own purchasing equipment and be in attendance for the full length of the event.
The Bennett Arts Council reserves the right to not accept artwork that does not follow these guidelines or is deemed inappropriate.
Artist must submit a completed form for their artwork submissions to Taeler Houlberg at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, March 29th, 2019. Copies can be also be submitted by mail to Town of Bennett Town Hall located at 207 Muegge Way, Bennett CO, 80102.
