Town of Akron's response to COVID-19 

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) becomes more widespread, the Town of Akron has prioritized keeping residents healthy
and essential town operations functioning.
Through much deliberation, the Town of Akron has opted to follow suit with other critical agencies in town that have high public foot traffic and opted for TOWN HALL TO BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  Continued re-evaluation of circumstances will be considered, and new notices will be posted at:

If the closure of Town Hall presents a substantial hardship, please call 970-345-2624 during business hours for assistance or direction.

COVID-19 And Town Services

As a part of the town's public health priorities, the staff is continually evaluating the effectiveness of our services. Regarding COVID-19 and the town's water and wastewater operations, the coronavirus has no impact on the quality or supply of your tap water.  By attempting to keep employees healthy and able to work, sanitation services should not be interrupted.  
According to the CDC, coronaviruses are susceptible to the same disinfection conditions as any other virus.
