You must pre-register for this service, which can take several business days. If you are nearing your due date, please choose a different method of payment. For more information on this payment method, visit the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) web page.

Pay Online with Revenue Online

Pay with Your Debit or Credit Card

The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) can accept debit or credit card payments if you have an established Revenue Online account. CDOR cannot accept this method of payment over the phone or in our service centers. If you do not have a bill, please select another payment option.

Pay Directly from Your Checking Account

You can pay your bill electronically with your checking account information using Revenue Online. We cannot accept this method over the phone, but you can use a check at one of our service centers or through the mail. If you have not yet received a bill, please remit payment with your business' income tax return or estimated payment form.

Check or Money Order

If you used a paper return, follow the tips when mailing your check:
  • If paying a bill, use the payment voucher included with your bill. Failure to do so will cause significant delays in processing your payment, which might cause your account to be sent to collections.
  • If making an estimated payment, include the estimated payment form with your check.
  • Do not paperclip or staple your payment to your payment voucher or estimated payment form.
  • Clearly write your last name, Colorado Account Number (CAN) or Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), and tax period on the check memo line.

Make your check payable to the Colorado Department of Revenue and mail your payment to:

Colorado Department of Revenue
PO Box 17087
Denver, CO 80217-0087

NOTE: If you are using a check or money order to pay the tax due on your income tax return, mail payment with your return to the address listed on the return (not the address above).

The quickest and easiest way to make a tax payment is by Revenue Online. You may pay in cash, only if you have received a bill and only at the Pierce Street Department of Revenue location in Lakewood. The cashier is located inside the DMV - Entrance A. If you need assistance with other tax matters, please make an appointment prior to your visit and enter through Entrance B.

If you choose to pay in cash:

  • Bring the payment voucher included with your bill.  We cannot accept your cash payment without it.  If you have lost your voucher, please use an alternate method of payment listed above.
