Stewardship Action Plans

A Stewardship Action Plan (SAP) is an adaptive management plan prepared by Staff that describes the Board’s comprehensive vision, objectives, strategies and best management practices for responsible stewardship of a particular important target plant and/or animal species occurring at a landscape scale on numerous, non-contiguous state trust lands.

SAPs are planned for Gunnison Sage Grouse, Lesser Prairie Chicken, Extreme Rich Fens, and Piedmont Grassland.  The Greater Sage Grouse SAP was adopted by our board in 2016.
