Stewardship Action Plans

A Stewardship Action Plan (SAP) is an adaptive management plan prepared by Staff that describes the Board’s comprehensive vision, objectives, strategies and best management practices for responsible stewardship of a particular important target plant and/or animal species occurring on numerous, non-contiguous state trust lands on a landscape scale.

SAPs are planned for Greater Sage Grouse, Gunnison Sage Grouse, Lesser Prairie Chicken, Extreme Rich Fens, and Piedmont Grassland.  To date, no SAPs have been completed or approved by the Board.
