The Board staff includes Rick Dindinger-Director; Andrea Woods-Senior Board Assistant; Anthony Fiedler- Board Assistant; Administrative Law Judge- Keith A. Shandalow and Senior Administrative Law- Judge Susan J. Tyburski.
The Board Members are Patricia Bangert, Nora Kelly, Maurie Knaizer, Michelle Palmquist, and Sarah Wager.
Composition of the Board
The Board consists of 5 members, 3 of whom are appointed by the Governor and 2 of whom are elected by certified state employees. The Board elects a Chair and Vice-Chair each fiscal year.
The State Personnel Board conducts its public meeting on the third Tuesday of every month. Monthly meetings are held at 1525 Sherman Street in the first floor Conference Center, Room 104. Special meetings are scheduled as needed and are posted in advance in accordance with statute.
The State Personnel Board, as designated by state Constitution, promulgates rules governing the state personnel system and reviews appeals by employees regarding any adverse action that affects an employee’s base pay, status, tenure or other rights to which an employee is entitled by law. The Board may also use its discretion to grant a hearing for actions that do not adversely affect pay, status or tenure and where the individual does not, otherwise, have a right to a hearing, appeal or review by law or rule.
