WHO IS SIPA?
SIPA stands for the Statewide Internet Portal Authority. We are a body corporate and political subdivision of the State. SIPA was created in 2004, by an act of the Colorado State Legislature (C.R.S. § 24-37.7-101 et seq.), to develop and oversee the statewide internet portal. The portal is intended to provide one-stop access to electronic information, products and services to give members of the public a way to transact business efficiently and effectively with state agencies, local governments, special districts and public education.
- SIPA is governed by a Board of Directors
- The Board appoints an Executive Director to oversee daily operations, and to ensure the goals and objectives of the Authority are met
- Statute allows SIPA to work with: local and state governments, special districts and public education only in the State of Colorado
- SIPA provides technology solutions and is a procurement vehicle for those technologies
WHAT DOES SIPA DO?
Assist state agencies, local governments, special districts and public education put information and services online, implement or improve digital solutions with potential cost savings. Procuring any SIPA products and services does not require an RFP.
SIPA AND COLORADO.GOV
SIPA is the oversight body of the Colorado.gov web portal, the gateway to Colorado government. Through our portal integration partner, Colorado Interactive, it is Colorado's single most comprehensive delivery channel for e-Government services.
