2020 AmeriCorps Grant Application Process
Serve Colorado is excited to open a Planning Grant Competition for those organizations ready to apply for a full AmeriCorps program.
See Application Resources below!
The Planning Grant competition provides funding to support the design of an AmeriCorps program and the preparation needed for an organization to manage a federal AmeriCorps implementation grant successfully. Planning grants provide successful applicants with resources needed to develop program components, including program design, and to build operational capacity critical to managing an AmeriCorps program. Grant recipients also receive training and technical assistance from Serve Colorado to strengthen their AmeriCorps program design and to create implementation plans and systems for managing a compliant AmeriCorps program. Grantees who successfully complete their planning grant deliverables will be better prepared to apply for an operations grant if that is determined to be the best way forward for the grantee.
*Availability of this funding does not obligate Serve Colorado or CNCS to award any specific number of grants nor to obligate the entire amount of funding available.
