POLICY UPDATE: SCCOG Transit has updated the policy regarding Carry-On Items and it is effective September 1, 2017. The updated policy is as follows:
Open food and beverage containers are not permitted in SCCOG Transit Vehicles. Drinks and food must be in a closed container and pose no risk of spilling. If you are grocery shopping, SCCOG Transit will allow you to bring on as many bags as you can physically carry without assistance but please make sure they don't block the aisle, stairs or doorway. Hazardous materials and weapons will not be allowed on SCCOG vehicles. SCCOG is not responsible for any items left on the bus.
Also beginning September 1, 2017 , courtesy of the SCCOG AAA Program we will be giving out a limited number of reusable grocery bags to passengers on our daily scheduled Walmart runs.
The Transit Program provides demand-response public transportation in Huerfano and Las Animas Counties, with service to Pueblo three days a week and to Raton, NM as needed. Many of our clients receive discounted or free fares through organizations such as our Area Agency on Aging and Medicaid. We also contract services from providers such as the Las Animas County Rehabilitation Center and the Department of Human Services.
Transit Projected outcome
All residents of Las Animas and Huerfano Counties have access to safe, accessible, convenient, and affordable local and regional transit services.
