Water and Wastewater Plant Operations

The Town of Ridgway is seeking a certified, qualified Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for Water and Wastewater Plant Operations. This is a part-time employee position without benefits. Experience with water and wastewater plant operations with a minimum Class B Water Treatment Plant Operator license, and a minimum Class D Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license required. Hourly wage depends on experience. SCADA system experience is preferred.

The target start date is May 28, 2019. Interviews are planned for the week of May 20, 2019.

Deputy Marshal

The Town of Ridgway is seeking a Level II Deputy Marshal or Senior Deputy Marshal. Applicants must be 21 years of age, possess an exemplary driving record and be certified through a P.O.S.T. approved training academy or course of study.

This is a full-time position with benefits. The salary range for a Level II Marshal is $41,204 to $57,332; and Senior Deputy $47,667 to $66,735 depending upon qualifications and the position assigned. In addition to the base salary, a housing stipend of $500 per month is provided upon successful completion of the probationary period and full-time status. Full-time police officers must live within 15 minutes of the town limits.

Seasonal Employment Opportunities in the Parks Department

Parks Maintenance - approx. May 1 through Sept 30 - 40 hours a week, no benefits, wage $15.00 an hour

To perform general maintenance in parks and open spaces including turf care, planting and landscaping, irrigation, trash pick-up, restroom maintenance; seasonal abatement of noxious weeds within the Town boundaries, utilizing non-toxic herbicides; general maintenance of recreational fields, park facilities and municipal buildings; miscellaneous labor. Driver's license required.
