School Safety Summit will Address Marijuana, Local Issues for Grand Junction-area Schools

(Nov. 20, 2018) -- Experts from the Colorado School Safety Resource Center will lead workshops, focus groups and educational forums on critical school safety topics during the 2018 Student and Staff Safety summit in Grand Junction on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

The one-day event will feature keynote speaker Ben Cort, author of “Weed, INC” and an expert on marijuana education. Cort will present “21st Century Marijuana: What Kids Need to Know.” Afterwards, students and school staff will break off into workshop sessions to discuss the specific safety concerns that they are encountering at their Western Slope schools.
