  • Conserve and stabilize the value of property
  • Aid in rendering of police and fire protection
  • Provide adequate open space for light, air, and aesthetic satisfaction
  • Preclude congestion on streets, roads, and highways
  • Facilitate orderly, efficient, and integrated development of the county
  • Prevent undue concentration of population
  • Facilitate the provisin of efficient systems, transportation, schools, parks, and other public requirements
  • Promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of Phillips County

Planning and Zoning Forms:

Building Permit
       Projects that increase the size of a structure and cost $1,000 or more to complete require an approved building permit

Conditional Use Permit Application
       Required to receive Board of County Commissioners’ approval to permit a conditional use or modification of an existing conditional use

Conditional Use Permit Application for a Utility Substation, Generating Plant, Pipeline, or Transmission Line
       Required to receive Board of County Commissioners’ approval to permit a conditional use for any of the above

Subdivision Exemption Application
       State law requires any division of land creating a parcel of less than 35 (parcel must be at least 2.5 acres) to be platted and go through the subdivision process

Application for Variance
       Required to receive a variance from zoning resolution requirements

Zoning Amendment Application
       Required when seeking a change in the current zoning classification

Need New Address Assigned
       Required when seeking to have residence that did not already have an address
