The Annual Audits are conducted by an independent accountant and filed with the Colorado Office of the State Auditor. The District's Unaudited Financial Statements are prepared monthly by the District's Accountant and subject to acceptance by the Board of Directors. The Annual Budget is prepared by the District's Accountant and approved by the Board of Directors. The Final Budget is filed with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs.
The District maintains three funds within its financial reporting - the General Fund which is supported by taxes, the Enterprise Fund which supported by fees collected by the District, and the Conservation Trust Fund which is supported by the Colorado State Lottery.
