The Town of Parachute is seeking an individual to fill a Police Department Records and Evidence Technician position.This is a part-time job working 30 hours per week Monday –Thursday. This includes a benefits package with excellent health insurance, sick/vacation time and retirement.Provide a wide range of reception duties, to include answering phone calls and providing service to citizens at the front desk. Also provides a wide range of data entry and administrative duties. Processes Police reports, maintains and disseminates Criminal Justice Records, receives incoming phone calls; welcomes visitors, guests, and vendors; registers Sex Offenders. Receives, handles, records and transports police evidence and found property. Must be a Colorado resident with a valid Colorado driver’s license and be able to pass a per-employment background check including, but not limited to a criminal, motor vehicle, and financial background check and drug screen. Ability to become CCIC/NCIC certified and obtain a Colorado Certified Records Network certification. Salary DOE. Job applications will be taken until December 27, 2018 at 5:00PM.
Public Works - Open until filled
The Town of Parachute is seeking an individual to fill a Public Works position. Qualification Requirements: Must have good communication skills. Must have the ability to safely use and operate tractors, snow plows, backhoe, lawnmower, various spray equipment and power tools. Must be able to perform a variety of tasks for periods in unfavorable weather conditions. Sustain continuous physical effort including frequent bending, walking, manipulation of, and heavy lifting of departmental equipment. Maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis and within one half hour when on call. Must be able to pass a drug test. Essential Job Functions: Participates in the manual labor associated in the operation, maintenance, repair and construction of the roadway system, storm drainage system, parks and water system. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Desired requirements: Class C water certification preferred. Applications accepted until position is filled.
